Who do you work for and what do you do in that role?
I am the Head of Product Compliance for Tanda, a workforce management solutions. It's my job to ensure Tanda keeps reducing our customers' anxiety about award compliance.
How did you get involved with ABSIA?
Tanda joined because ABSIA's objectives best aligned with what we were hoping to achieve through membership of an industry association. I got involved because, in everything you do, you only get out what you put in.
What keeps you busy outside of your day job and ABSIA?
My three children (a five year old son and five month old identical twin daughters).
What is the best career advice that you wish to share with others?
It takes time and hard work to develop and maintain expertise.
What excites you about working in the software industry?
The willingness to experiment with new ideas and to learn from those experiments.
What is the one piece of technology that you wish existed?
Tanda's next compliance feature.
What is a book, movie, TV show or podcast that you would recommend? Competing Against Luck by Clayton Christensen. It's about how to make better innovation decisions based on why customers make their purchasing decisions.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Brisbane is a great place to raise a family and I am very happy here. If I could live anywhere in the world on a "point in time" perpetual holiday, Florence on honeymoon.
And finally, if you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My homemade pizza. I wouldn't live as long though.
