NZ Peppol Launch

The Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment have officially launched the Peppol Framework in New Zealand this week. ABSIA Board Members, along with other Members, have been in attendance at the launch events in Auckland and Wellington. Our Vice President, Simon Foster, represented ABSIA at these events.

Operational Framework Questionnaire Updated

The ATO recently updated the DSP Operational Framework Questionnaire to include an additional section about add-on marketplaces to support the work of the SSAM. If you're a DSP recertifying against the Operational Framework soon, you'll notice there is an additional question asking whether you host an API powered third party marketplace. To support this, there are also further questions in Section E of the questionnaire. More information is available on the ATO's Software Developer website.

SSAM Webinar e-Invoicing Legislation Passed & ATO Now a Peppol Authority

Australia's e-Invoicing legislation passed on 29 October with the ATO becoming the Peppol Authority on behalf of the Australian Government on 31 October. We are very excited about this progress and look forward to supporting the industry and driving e-Invoicing adoption. For more information about becoming a Peppol member, head here. SSAM Webinar Government's Commitment to 5 Day Payment Terms

The Australian Government have announced their commitment to pay all electronic invoices below $1 million within 5 working days from 1 January 2020. The Department of Finance and Services as well as Services Australia will be the first government departments to adopt Peppol e-Invoicing with other agencies implementing over the next year.
