The second Service Provider Technical Forum for 2020 is being held on Tuesday 30 June from 12.30pm NZT (10.30am AEST) until approximately 3pm NZT (1pm AEST). ABSIA Members can find more information about this event and how to register on the Forum. 

The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) have published some cyber security advice for agents of government services including tax agents, BAS agents and tax (financial) advisers. Continue reading about this advice on ACSC's website. 

The DTA have completed their month-long pilot of the federal government's new digital identity credential on the myGov online services portal. DTA and Services Australia are currently considering the insights from the pilot and these will inform the next steps before a fully public integrated system is released. The next part of this process is developing a charging framework discussion paper to support consultation with Commonwealth stakeholders by 30 June 2020. ABSIA aims to keep the industry updated and will seek to be involved in future discussion papers related to this topic. 

The Tax Time 2020 Certification process is currently underway. Information for the Individual Income Tax Return (IITR) 2020 Certification process including access to support documents is now available on the software developers website. Once completed, the form needs to be uploaded via Online Services for DSPs.
