ABSIA submitted to the 4th release of the Trusted Digital Identity Framework documentation on 5 February 2020.

In line with our previous submissions to the Fintech & Regtech Inquiry and the 2020 Cyber Security Strategy, ABSIA highlighted the lack of support for SMEs. Given the time and costs involved, it may make accreditation against the TDIF inaccessible to SMEs. To better support SMEs, we recommended that a more affordable accreditation pathway is explored for SMEs.

Other than the above issue, we broadly supported this version of the framework and can see the importance of an Australian trusted digital identity capability.

ABSIA is looking forward to the future releases of the framework and its implementation in the digital identity space.
